How to backup Yahoo emails to local drive using Thunderbird?

Q – I want to download my Yahoo emails and want to store a backup of my important emails on my hard drive so that I can move my Yahoo emails to Thunderbird later as I am planning to move to Thunderbird client in future. Is there any effective solution available for this? Please share your suggestions here.

I read your query and want to suggest you configure Yahoo email to your desktop-based client Thunderbird if you have finally decided to move to Thunderbird client.

There are several ways to store the backup of Yahoo emails to your local drive such as –

  • You can copy your important emails and paste them to word document and save the email messages.
  • You can forward emails to another account using the different email address.
  • You can archive Yahoo emails on local disk.

I read the above-stated solutions but they all are time-consuming methods as one by one backup of emails is performed by these methods. Can you please provide me any other effective method?

You can simply export your Yahoo emails to MBOX format using Softaken Yahoo Backup application. With this application, you can export your specific Yahoo emails to multiple file formats like PST, EML, EMLX, MSG, and MBOX format and save them to your local drive. These file formats can be easily imported to the email clients as per your needs. Moreover, you can take a free trial of the software.
