Q – I was using Eudora and recently I update my operating system to Windows 10. I got an error “Eudora is unable to update the system registry”. I don’t know why the error stuck and how to resolve this error? Can anyone suggest me what is this and how I can fix this error permanently?

There may be issues in Eudora if you have recently installed some updates. Check for the updates. Maybe these updates have created issues.

You may try to uninstall and then reinstall Eudora application. This will be helpful for you to fix the issue with Eudora application. Go to Control Panel > Programs and features. Select Eudora and uninstall it.

This issue can occur if you have not created Eudora your default email program. Assign Eudora as your default email client. For this, go to your browser and click on Tools and select Internet options. Go to Program tab and set Eudora your default email client.

I have the same issue some time ago and I have tried this solution –

  • Right click on Eudora program on your desktop
  • Enter your registration code in Help, Payment & Registration
  • Close the application
  • Next time, when you will open Eudora, you will not face the error

I am unable to fix the issue from the above-discussed methods. Is there any other solution possible for the error?

I don’t know the exact solution but I have read somewhere about locking the registry entry for the email application. I have read the solution there. Turn off any options inside Eudora that try to change system settings. Hopefully, this will work for you.

If still, you are unable to meet the solution of your problem. Just try Datavare MBOX to PST Converter tool. The tool will simply transfer your Eudora MBOX data to Outlook PST so that you can access your data. A free trial of this program is available for all the users who are new to it and want to know the working of it.
