Q – I am working with MS Outlook email client. Everything went smoothly but some days ago, I received an email containing PDF attachment, when I try to open it, it was unable to open. I think they got corrupted. Is there anyone who can provide a solution to resolve the issue?

Jonathan

There may be a cause behind this issue. A user is restricted to access temporary internet files folders maintained on the server. This error occurs when subfolder contains default copies of temporary files. For this, you can run REGEDIT.EXE and can solve this issue.

Gavin

Sometimes, due to default security protocols, Outlook denies to access suspicious attachments and thus these attachments automatically get locked displaying the error. This can be resolved by opening Registry Editor.

If any of the above-discussed methods don’t work for you. You can simply run Outlook PST Repair Tool. The tool will definitely resolve your issue and eliminates the errors from Outlook.

First of all, check whether the incoming PDF attachment has issues or Outlook has. Try to run Outlook in safe mode. If the PDF file is able to open then Outlook has some issues but if PDF is still unable to open in safe mode, you may check for PDF file. Maybe the PDF file is corrupt itself.

Allison

Can you please the steps how can I run my Outlook in safe mode?

Ashley

Get the steps to run Outlook in safe mode. First of all, close Outlook email client. Then hold Ctrl key while clicking on Outlook icon for starting Outlook in safe mode.

If any of the methods won’t work for you. You can simply go for PDF Recovery Software. This application will help you to eradicate Outlook corrupting incoming PDF attachment errors. You will get your PDF document opened in a few minutes with this application.
