  • Close Mozilla application
  • Open its directory
  • Select the account to rebuild the inbox.msf
  • Select the corresponding .msf files you want to rebuildv
  • Delete .msf files or move the files which have .msf as an extension to the trash
  • Restart Mozilla application, it will rebuild the deleted .msf index files

Even after deleting & rebuilding the Thunderbird index files, if you are still facing the issue. You can try this alternative solution. Given below are the steps –

  • Open Thunderbird
  • Go to Help > Troubleshoot information
  • Click on Open folder
  • You will find the ImapMail folder, click on it & select the IMAP mail account name.
  • Click on Inbox & open it with notepad, your emails start receiving one by one.
