mark luiQ – I was using Lotus Notes client but due to some requirements I have to switch to MS Outlook. Lotus Notes contains my important contacts so I want to migrate these contacts from Lotus Notes to Outlook. Can you please suggest me the quick method to migrate contacts from Lotus Notes to Outlook?
You can simply convert Lotus Notes contacts to a CSV file and then import the CSV file into Outlook. In this way, you can export contacts from Lotus Notes to MS Outlook.
I don’t know the steps of the above method. Can you please elaborate the process?
Here are the steps to export Lotus Notes contacts to CSV –
- Launch Lotus Notes and click on contacts
- Click more > Export contacts
- To export contacts from Lotus Notes to Outlook, select all contacts in this view
- To export the information of contacts, select all fields
- Click on browse and provide a location to save the contacts
- Choose Save as type CSV option
- Click Export
Steps to import Lotus Notes contacts to Outlook
- Launch Outlook application
- Click Open > Import
- In Import & Export Wizard, select ‘Import from another program or file’ and click Next
- Select file type to import
- Select CSV in the file type
- Click Browse to locate the CSV file
- Select ‘Do not Import duplicate items’ and click Next
- Select a destination folder to save and Click Next
- Click Finish
- To view contacts, open MS Outlook account and click contacts
I have read the above procedure though it is simple but a very lengthy procedure. I want a quick solution. Can you please provide me with the other solution that is simple and effortless?
